A private desert safari means your family or group rides in its own 4x4 instead of sharing a car with other guests. Private safaris are priced per car, not per person, so the cost per person depends on how many of you travel. This guide shows the numbers. Prices are shown at the time of writing; check the tour page for today's price.

The short answer

A private evening safari with BBQ dinner costs AED 780 per car, for up to 6 guests.
With a VIP table at the camp it is AED 990 per car.
The private 4-hour safari without the camp is AED 570 per car.

What you pay per person (AED 780 per car)

2 guests: AED 390 each
3 guests: AED 260 each
4 guests: AED 195 each
5 guests: AED 156 each
6 guests: AED 130 each

A shared safari costs AED 130 per person, so a private car costs the same per person only when it is full. For a couple the shared safari is cheaper; for a family of four to six the private car is good value.

What is included

A 4x4 for your group only, round-trip hotel pickup and drop-off, dune bashing, sandboarding, a camel ride, and a BBQ dinner with vegetarian options at a Bedouin camp with live shows.

Is a private safari right for you?

Choose private if you travel with young children or older relatives and prefer to ride only with your own group.
Choose shared if you are one or two guests and want the lowest price.
Larger than six? Book two cars.

Children aged 3 and above can join. The safari is not suitable for pregnant women or people with back or heart problems.
